- Fuse the commands on the Graphics menu to edit objects

- Object Selection
- Selects only objects. When
- you click text with the

- point in the text.
- CNormally,

- activates the Smart Selection
- 4tool when you finish drawing an object. To keep the
- 6Object Selection tool active after drawing an object,
- %Shift-click it on the Tools palette.
- Draws a line at any angle. To draw a line, click the
- 4Line tool. Then drag along the path of the line. To
- 5draw a horizontal or vertical line or a line at a 45-a
- degree angle, Shift-drag.
- Draws a 90-degree arc. To draw an arc, click the Arc e
- +tool. Then drag along the path of the arc.
- 2To change the percentage of a circle that the arc
- 9represents, choose
- from the Graphics z
- menu.
- Rectangle
- Draws a rectangle or square. To draw a rectangle,
- 6click the Rectangle tool. Then drag diagonally across
- 0the area where you want it to appear. To draw a
- square, Shift-drag.

- Draws a rectangle or square with rounded corners.
- /To draw a rounded rectangle, click the Rounded
- 5Rectangle tool. Then drag diagonally across the area

- 3To change the curvature (the corner radius) of the
- @corners, choose

- Polyline
- Draws a polyline. To draw a polyline, click the
- 9Polyline tool. Then click at each vertex of the polyline i
- /and double-click at the last vertex. To draw a
- 4horizontal or vertical segment or a segment at a 45-
- 'degree angle, Shift-click at a vertex.
- 3When you complete the polyline,

- Draws an oval or circle. To draw an oval, click the an
- 4Oval tool. Then drag diagonally across the area you zo
- 4want it to appear in. To draw a circle, Shift-drag.

- Draws a polygon. To draw a polygon, click the

- 6polygon, and double-click at the last vertex. To draw

- 4freehand curve. When Snap is on,

- /ignores the snap grid as you draw a curve, but
- 6locates the first point of the curve at a grid point.

- Text Column
- Draws a text column. A text column can contain more
- 6than one line of text. Use text columns for multiline
- 4callouts, paragraphs of text, or any other text you
- 7want to wrap automatically from line to line. Also use
- 0text columns when you want to insert variables,
- 6cross-references, or markers in the text, or when you
- .want to include the text in a generated list.
- 3To draw a text column, click the Text Column tool.
- /Then drag diagonally across the area where you
- 4want it to appear. To type text in the text column,
- 7double-click to place an insertion point in the column
- and then type.
